three ways to help us provide medical
care
Every year, many animals come
through our doors requiring medical
treatments of all types. With your
help, we can provide the much needed
medical care that will help sick animals
return to good health...so they can
find their forever home!
the general medical fund
The medical fund provides for needed
medical care over and above the routine
medical care that all animals receive
at the Animal Refuge League including
spays and neuters, vaccinations, flea,
tick and worm preventatives and vet
exam. Special blood tests, x-rays,
ultra-sounds and surgeries are some
of the extras that the general medical
fund provides for. Sometimes our animals
need even more than this care and
that is why the next two funds were
created!

the senior animals
medical fund
The PAWS Fund, “Pets Are Worth
Saving”, was created as a last
request of Wanda Donovan, one of our
beloved volunteers and friends who
passed away in the March of 2006,
to help animals
age 7 and older
that arrive at the ARL with special
medical needs. “Special needs”

the cassandra l. carson emergency
medical fund
Cassandra L. Carson tragically passed
away in 2005. To honor her love of
animals, this emergency medical fund
was created in Cassandra's memory,
to benefit animals of any age. The
hope is, that with your help, this
fund will go on to provide needed
medical attention for emergencies:
i.e. an animal hit by a car, surgery
to save a limb or to save an eye,
etc. Often these are the animals that
would make wonderful, loving pets
for a caring family if they could
just get the emergency, or extra medical
help they need.
