 11th Annual Paws in the Park

Join us for Paws in the Park, a dog walk around Deering Oaks Park - you don't need a dog to participate! Proceeds from the event will help us provide food, shelter and veterinary care (including spaying and neutering) to help more than 4,000 stray, abandoned and owner-surrendered animals find their way home.
Every participant will receive a t-shirt. Contests for
Best Tail Wag, Best Trick and Best Bark follow the walk. Walker prizes will be announced Tuesday,
September 16.
Everyone is invited to participate - with or without a dog. Starbucks Coffee and pastries will be served for those who arrive early to visit and browse. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
For safety, cats are not allowed to walk. All dogs must be leashed (no flexi leashes, please).
Pets, more so than humans, are susceptible to overheating. While people can roll down windows, turn on the air conditioner or exit the vehicle when they become too hot, pets cannot. And pets are much less efficient at cooling themselves than people are.
Registration is $20. Register by September 12 and save $5 off the registration fee.
