Misty and High Note are two young bunnies that have been through a lot together! Their story begins about three years ago when this pair, along with three other bunnies, was bought from a local pet feed store. All of the bunnies spent their days outside in separate hutches during the summer and, in the winter, in wire-bottom cages in a dank basement. The five bunnies were surrendered to the Animal Refuge League in April of 2008 because the family was moving. Misty and High Note seemed to get along well and were always paired up for play-dates and exercise. In June of 2008, Misty and High Note were adopted together by a wonderful family who let them run around a bunny room all day and gave them love and attention in the evenings after work and school! Unfortunately, this family moved to Florida and could not fit their pet’s gear in the car for the drive down. They knew it would not be fair to their beloved pets to drag them on a five-day-long ride to their new home, so they returned this pair to the ARL, with the promise that we would not split up this bonded pair. Misty, with her cloud-colored markings and High Note, with his long, beautiful eyelashes will make a wonderful addition to any family. These guys love to run and play inside and outside of the house with their family! They should never again be left outside in a hutch, now that they have discovered how wonderful it is to be considered a real part of a family! High Note absolutely loves to be cuddled and Misty loves to have her head petted. Both bunnies love to play and should have ample time outside of their cage to get some energy out and spend quality time with the family. Come see Misty and High Note at the ARL today!
