This spring saw ARL bursting at the seams with baby
bunnies being born... and now they're grown up and ready to go! Meet Sebago
(agouti) and Pizzelle (tan), littermates who were born May 3rd. They are
a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They've also spent their short
lives as indoor rabbits and must remain indoor rabbits. That said, these
guys love to kick up dust when allowed to romp outside in the shelter's
exercise pens. Sebago is the surveyor, on the lookout for any danger from
a high location, while Pizzelle would rather lounge in the shade, soaking
up fresh air. They love wide open spaces; being stuck in a cage too long
cramps their style, and they will occasionally get rowdy in their cage
and crash around. After all, what good is it to have a brother if you
can't beat him up, chase him around, and pounce on him? Litter habits
will improve as they get older but they're doing a good job right now.
