Look out everyone: it’s the giant gerbil! Despite his big size, Cody is a little timid, and who could blame him? Cody and his buddy Africa were rescued from a local dump! Despite having a rough start with humans, Cody is very curious and will come out to see what the new hands might be offering. Like all gerbils, he loves to chew. While we normally recommend plastic wheels as best for small animals, there is a chance that he will want to chew on it, so no plastic for gerbils. You'll also need to make sure that he's got lots of cardboard, paper, and tissues to keep his teeth busy. Cody also needs daily handling in order to get over his shyness about being touched.
