My, what big ears you have! This is a comment we hear often when visitors meet Willow. Watching her twitch them around is like watching someone move a radio's antennae! Willow has such a darling personality to match her looks, despite coming from a situation that was less than ideal for her. She does get spooked when approached from the front. After all, rabbits' eyes are on the sides of their heads, so she can't see her nose or a hand that might be in front of it, and that startles her. A good way to approach her is to pet her head from the top, letting her see your hand and arm as you do this from the side. She’s sensitive about her nose too, it’s a tender spot, so be gentle please. She loves her outside-the-cage time and will appreciate having free time to interact with a new family. She's brushing up on her litter box skills; she will be an excellent companion for a family with older, respectful children. When you come by the shelter, make sure you say hello to her; she'd love to say hi to you! |
