If rabbits are reincarnated, then Squirtle must have been a chinchilla in his previous life. His gorgeous rex coloring has made many a visitor comment on how much he reminds them of chinchillas. He was surrendered because the family is moving away. He also fathered a few litters of babies, though he's not much older than a baby himself. Squirtle knows only one speed, and that is FAST. He is full of high energy; he spends most of his day dancing back and forth in front of his cage, begging to be set free to explore and jump. He's looking for a family that will allow him lots of access to outside the cage time, as well as allowing him to indulge in his other favorite activity: digging. His speed at digging at sheets, corners, or hay might just rival that of a mole in your yard! He craves human attention and gets grumpy if he doesn't have it. He's just dark enough that when he's in his cage, he blends into the decor, so when you come visit the Small Animal Room again, take time out to peek in the bottom cages and find his hiding spot! |
