UPDATE
Reiko's been with us since April 2011; Cherry Cola arrived a few weeks after that. It was Reiko who was lonely and decided to make friends with every other rabbit in the room, but one look at Cherry Colo and his heart skipped a beat. He had found his heart's other half! Reiko fell hard for this older diva; thankfully she saw the best of him, too. They are a bonded couple. We often find them sleeping together, she with her dark ears lopped over him. Few couples have touched our hearts as these two have. Reiko is full of fun & silliness. Cola is the master digger & homemaker. She will supervise the area and make sure things are OK before Reiko joins her. They are still patiently waiting for the right humans to add to their family. Are they waiting for you?

UPDATE NOW TOGETHER FOREVER
Few things are as black and white as this charming duo. Reiko, the dashing white fella, arrived at the shelter along with a dog in bad shape. He came from a bad situation, but you'd never know it by visiting Reiko. For him, life is all about living and experiencing everything it has to offer. Desperate for all attention, Reiko was the one who would throw his water bottle to the floor just to get our attention for nose rubs and kind words. A young fella, he has the rest of his life where he can run, jump, hop, and hang out with his favorite people at the shelter.

Reiko knew there was something missing in his life, however. As much as he loves us humans, there was a spot in his heart that needed the love of a bunny companion. Being at the shelter didn't worry him at all. After hopping about and introducing himself to all the other rabbits, the dark and sully Cherry Cola caught his heart. At age 6, she was grumpy about life, probably because she thought her chance at love had passed her by. She was no match for Reiko's charms, though. Love doesn't have any requirements, and to Reiko, he saw the best of his life in Cola's dark eyes. When we humans discovered the sparks between the two, we gave them room to sniff each other out and the rest is history. Reiko invited Cola to his cage, and they've been inseparable since then. They eat together, sleep together, enjoy free time together; whatever Reiko had he's given to Cherry Cola to have, even his precious water bottle. They are now bonded & must be adopted together.
