Sweet, gentle Tic Tac is patiently waiting
to start her life a as family pet. Retired from racing, this four
year old beauty likes to curl up in her kennel with a fluffy blanket
and a stuffed animal to rest her petite head on. Like all Greyhounds,
Tic Tac didn’t learn to play with toys while living at the
track, but instead prefers the company of people. The National Greyhound
Adoption Program says that, “Greyhounds enjoy being with people
and other dogs. Most have spent their entire lives with other greyhounds
and usually adapt very well to other dogs in the house. Most also
get along well with cats and children. Greyhounds are docile and
tolerant and make the best pets for quiet, gentle children who do
not wish to engage in boisterous play.” Greyhounds don’t
need a ton of exercise, but do need some time in a fenced yard or
a couple of daily on-leash walks before settling in for a snooze
on a soft bed. Because Tic Tac is thin, she cannot be left outdoors
and may need a coat in the winter. This cutie pie is ready to snuggle
and once Tic Tac leans on your leg, as a gesture of her love, you’ll
be smitten.
