One year old Ralphie has had a tough year. Transferred to ARL from
the Knox County Humane Society, Ralphie has spent the last four
months of his short life in the shelter system. Handsome, smart,
and full of life, Ralphie can’t wait to finally be a part
of a family again. His former owner was unable to spend time with
this shepherd/huskey mix, so his new owners will need to take the
time to teach him basic manners and give him a constructive outlet
for this young dog’s energy. Bored and lonely, Ralphie really
wants a job to do and would make an excellent hiking partner or
ball chaser, if you have an opening at your house. Ralphie can be
protective of his food, so he’s won’t go home with young
children, but he’ll be a great match for older kids and adults.
He’s never lived with cats and can be selective about his
canine friends, so Ralphie may prefer to be the only pet in his
new home. If you’re looking for an intelligent dog that is
ready to learn, then Ralphie would love to meet you.
