profile Update: Brady had the opportunity to spend some time in foster care. He proved beyond a doubt that he could indeed live with another dog and he did wonderfully with the two felines in the household. His foster mom reports that he tends to cling to one person in the home, and if given the opportunity, he will claim that person for his own. Brady's new owner will want to set some strict guidelines for him to follow and incorporate positive training methods to help him to change his ways. Brady is a fun little guy, full of energy, and ready to go on many athletic adventures with his new family. Brady is a six-year-old Miniature Pinscher weighing 17 pounds. He’s a playful boy who lives for human contact and would be happy to spend the rest of his life as the center of the universe. His ideal home will be with adults who will pay a lot of attention to him, take him along when they go out, and treat him like a valued member of the family. If they can manage not to spoil him in the process, everyone will be happy. Brady’s adopters will receive a discounted rate at our training classes, and attendance is recommended in order to help him settle successfully into his new home. Brady is nearly housebroken, with most accidents happening at night or when his schedule isn’t followed. Crating him at night should help solve this problem. Brady will probably do well with dog-savvy cats, but should be the only dog in his new home. He loves to see the leash come out, because he adores going for long walks with his people. Once he’s had his exercise, he’ll look for the nearest comfy lap for a nice cuddle. The AKC Standard says that characteristic traits of the Miniature Pinscher are "fearless animation, complete self-possession, and spirited presence." Yourpurebredpuppy.com describes the MinPin as “perhaps the ‘busiest’ and most intense of the toy breeds. … He demands cuddling and often must be surgically removed from your lap or chest whenever you rise from the couch. He is a lover of comfort. …. Outdoors, he must be kept on-leash or in a securely fenced area at all times.” download adopter survey learn about manners classes donate to help the animals |
