 profile Ramone is a small shepherd mix who was found as a stray. This friendly, healthy, well-mannered fellow is estimated to be around 7 years old. When we tried out a few basic obedience commands, we found that he already knows sit, stay, down, and paw, and is enthusiastic about learning more. What a smart boy! Ramone’s response to uncertainty is to withdraw, and if he can’t physically leave an uncomfortable situation he’ll withdraw his attention until he gets his confidence back. He’s not much of a barker, with apartment or condo living on his yes list, but he has enough energy that he’ll require a nice walk or two each day if there’s no outdoor play space for him to use. He loves to play. Our evaluator noted “lots of play bows!” and checked off tennis balls and squeaky toys as particular favorites.
