profile

Spunky, little Dozer is looking for a new family to call his own. Surrendered to the shelter because "he wanders away often," is a very common characteristic of all scent hound breeds. Due to this, he would do best in a home with a fenced yard to explore or where he would be your daily companion on long walks. Because of his “glass half full” personality, he is a favorite of our volunteer dog walkers. Dozer's past experiences with children have not always been positive, so we recommend Dozer go to a home with no children, or where children frequently visit. His former family reports that he adores some female dogs, so if you have a resident canine, an in-shelter introduction is appropriate to make sure it is a good fit for everyone. As a Meet Your Match orange Goofball, Dozer enjoys the company of people. It would benefit your relationship with Dozer to enroll him in one of the shelter’s Canine Education classes. Not only will this help reinforce commands he knows, but it will also help create a stronger bond between the two of you. Won’t you come in for a visit today?
