The history of petite, inquisitive and nimble Dash is unknown. She was a stray abandoned with other kitties in a motor home and rescued by the Kennebec shelter in Augusta. Because the Animal Refuge League has had some success in placing FIV cats, Dash was transferred here. She is quite the diminutive sport. During her assessment, she seemed to yearn for a quick jump upon the counters, but her tiny body was unable to reach those heights. She was satisfied to watch a feather wand and gradually interact with her assessor. Having no problem being held or being restrained, Dash would probably be open to a home with other cats or children. It may take her a short time to feel comfortable and interact, but feeling loved would be a new and welcome experience for her. Her only exposure to people was one of rejection, so surely she would blossom in a caring home. She was assessed as an orange sidekick in our Meet Your Match program, and so, with a little love and encouragement, it would not take long for little Dash to run the show. download adopter survey donate to help the animals |
