It’s hard to believe that Callie is back after a couple of months in a new home, because she’s such a fabulous girl. She was returned because her owner felt that someone with more time to commit to her feeding and care would be better for her. She does have long, silky, runny-watercolor dilute Tortie fur that needs to be brushed, lest it become one big old funky tangle. She also uses a litter box as all inside cats do, but she’s a lady about that. Her former owner described her as being, ‘Nice”, but she’s so more than that! Callie is a special kitty, for sure. Somewhere in her life, she contracted Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) from a bite or scratch from an infected cat, so she’ll need to remain inside, perhaps sharing space with another FIV infected kitty. Other species, like humans and dogs, are immune from FIV. For more information about FIV, see the Special Needs page. The FIV is just one aspect of Callie’s life, however. Personality-wise, she is a quiet, loving girl with a relaxed view on life and a deep desire for peace, a sunny window, and any number of warm places to curl up and purr with contentment. She loves to be held and she loves to be patted and she deserves to go home forever, where she will be beloved to those who have chosen to take care of her. She really will put her best paw forward, and she is totally guaranteed to touch your heart. download adopter survey donate to help the animals |
